Since this pandemic has affected virtually every country in the world, it should be obvious to most anyone with half a brain that it isn't a republican or democrat plot to overthrow the economy or rig an election.

It is also obvious that those countries that practiced social distancing fared better than those that didn't. Austria had (has) a major issue in Tirol and locked down the rest of the country. Austria now has a lower death rate than other countries.

Y'all can keep on thinking that it is some big conspiracy - although the initial cover-up was a conspiracy by the Chinese government.

I am not a infectious disease control specialist. Just a biomedical engineer specializing in cardiology and neurology. I am someone that looks at the facts and statistics on hand instead of believing everything that is posted on facebook and then reposting on here. Even the Democratic government officials in Chicago aren't taking social distancing seriously anymore but yet continue to say its still necessary for everyone else.

Sorry to inform you but I dont drink kool-aid, but please ,continue to enjoy my federal government handouts while it lasts. :welcome:

But if I remember from your other thread, you bought the new 4R knowing that you couldn’t register it due to the DMV being closed. You might have been better off waiting to buy since prices are likely to drop soon so that dealerships can get stock moving. Then you wouldn’t be in the license plate predicament.

EVERYONE is dealing with something right now in varying degrees of severity. There are people who have it much worse than others, and some who have it better. It really has nothing to do with owning a business or not, they all have their own unique challenges due to life choices and circumstance.

And before you jump all over me... I'm saying this as someone who has their own small business. That was my choice. I signed up for this, I take the good with the bad, the perks and challenges that come with it are my burden to bear.

I learned some REALLY tough lessons from back in 2008-2009 when we almost went out of business. Regardless of who you are and what you do, this is a good time to exercise some risk management.

I’ll be completely honest, I am pretty concerned with what the coming months are going to look like, but complaining about it isn't going to help me or my people. A little leadership, teamwork, and innovation can go a long way in times like this.

I have not seen my wife in two weeks (except through a glass door) because she works in a lab that does thousands of Covid-19 samples a day. The risk of cross-contamination is too great. It sucks, but life is more important than stuff. People complaining about not be able to golf or whatnot have different priorities I guess.

Dan, I understand your anger and frustration at the shutdown and everything that has resulted. Books will be written and fortunes made for years analyzing the warnings, mistakes, conspiracy theories, wisdom, and stupidity of this fiasco.

But right now we’re in the middle of it, gotta play the hand we’re dealt. I’m complying with the recommendations mostly out of selfishness. I’m a healthy fit guy like yourself but I don’t want to get sick. (The last time I had the flu was 20 years ago. It hit hard, I wasn’t feeling normal again for a month. I’ve gotten a flu shot each year since).

From your posts you seem to be advocating to stop social distancing, get back to business as usual, and let the virus kill off the elderly and anyone who’s not healthy like you.

Well, yes. Orange Man, by many people's standards of morals and ethics, is reprehensible. I wouldn't want him around my daughter, wife, or any other female I care about, he thrives on chaos and insults, and he constantly talks down to anyone who disagrees with him.

Yes, there is a lot not to like. Especially from people who have been in the military and have seen/experienced toxic leadership, he's the embodiment of every toxic attribute that the Army briefs against. In fact, the only people willing to continually defend his behavior are toxic as well. Are we seeing a common theme?

There is actually no evidence to support that social distancing is working. At the same time there is no evidence to support that it is not working. Not enough testing available. Which makes me think that this virus was already known it wasnt as bad as the media made it out to be.

And when the virus was allowed to spread in the US for at a minimum of 3 months for a virus this contagious, the damage has likely already been done. Even without the virus, statistic for patients that die on a ventilator is 34% is a significant number. Compounded by that fact that if you have diabetes and/or hypertension with this, its a virtual death sentence.

People thinking that they are saving lives by social distancing are a bunch of hypocrites in general. If people really wanted to make an impact on saving lives, there would be bans on alcoholic drinks, cigarettes, and junk food. Its already proven that those items kill way more people than the coronavirus ever will. But I dont see anyone doing that.

My problem is that incompetent bureaucrats shut down the DMV "to prevent the spread..blah blah blah " without any kind of plan to provide all services. I would also like to point out that they were passing a law to let illegals get licenses in December. They should have been of preparing for the this mess.

The market is another story. Im not very concerned about it. It will come back.

I guess I expected too much competence out of the NJ DMV.

Im not so sure about these fabulous sales people are expecting. There are a lot of people out of work, what cars they have now they are selling, Many of the auto plants are shut down therefore supply is dwindling. Someone posted on this in this thread awhile back.

I'd rather have the truck in the driveway ready to go, when the numbskulls at the DMV come back from vacation, than no truck after all I went through to get it.
