The guys reporting 8, 9, 11 mpg etc. clearly have something wrong. Winter blend gas does not account for that drastic a fall, neither does warmup. Read all the suggestions in this thread as well as do a search.
I got up to 17.5 doing 70 on the highway for 4 hours the other day. Seems to be doing better with the lift than it did without it.
After a test driving on highway. The MPG increases to 17. I guess it's probably because the cold and the short distances. Thanks guys
MPG drops sharply after about 60. I'll bet if you'd kept it at 60 you'd see close to 19 or even 20. I've gotten as high as 22-23 driving on a fairly level road at about 60 mph (That's actual, not as indicated on the "lie-o-meter" on the dash.)
Is it posible change from mp/g to km/l and F° to C°???
Juan
Yes, there are three options,
1. Go to official Toyota dealer but I suspect that won't help much since 4Runners are sold only in the US and Canada
2. There's 93С66 EEPROM on back side of the cluster panel board which can be reflashed with a donor version from Canada. The donor must be identical or you'll have problems otherwise
3. Buy Canadian 4Runner cluster panel.
I think my gas mileage is almost as bad as yours. I have a 04 v6 with 240kms and stock everything and mostly city driving.
I'm in Vancouver Canada, and usually run on 2wd.
Just filled up 77 litres (20 gallons) today with 417km (260miles)
That's only 13mpg or 5.4km per litre.
My 97 4runner had better mileage than this. Anyone have any idea?
Is there anything else I can do to improve gas mileage?
