I've read all the retrofit posts and stuff, and I'm about to do an elocker retrofit. Here's my question though, and it's not in any other posts... How bad would it be if I used JB Weld instead of actually welding material for the axle housing modification? It doesn't seem like it would be that big of a deal, since from what it looks like, it's just for the gasket area. Again, I've searched for other instances of JB Weld for the axle housing modification, but only seem to find it used as a band aid for other parts of the axle housing in extreme rust cases. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The housing modification is to mount the elocker actuator. I believe the welding is what builds up the metal to be able to mount the 2 studs for the actuator. JB Weld won't work.

Would you drive over a bridge held together by JB Weld? I wouldn't. Thus your answer.
