How do I know if I UCA's , new lift for my 5th gen

I have no personal experience w/ OME 895E's, but OME lists three different spring rates for 5th Gen 4Runners and 895E's are the lightest offered for "stock to medium loads". Wheelers lists them as 2" lift for a 5th Gen 4Runner.

For future reference when people read this thread OME doesn't list 895E's for 5th gen 4Runners. They list the 889, 898, and 899. But they have others that will fit pending on need - including the 895E.

Where are you getting the stock spring rate for the rear coils on a 5th gen 4Runner from. I didn't see it listed on any of the threads you posted.

It's very similar to the FJ @ 190lbs. No real test with a spring rate tester but should be in the 180-190lb range.

I'm trying to be as informative as possible with documentation, but sometimes assumptions have to be made. I still may do the 895E's pending how much weight I add to the rear with tools and 2 spare tires, my rock rails will have some weight distributed evenly through the frame also.

Once I have a garage again I'll be able to get some of my mods going and test some of these things. 4 car with 2 - 18x8 doors.

I understand and I'm not trying to give you grief over it. Like I said, I have no experience w/ OME. Some of the documentation you are showing me is counter to what I previously believed to be the case (for OME).

When I got my coils made by Deaver I never got into specific spring rates. Discussions w/ Icon folks suggested what I would need, but it was only expressed in increase in length (in inches) and % spring rate increase over stock. It's always nice to see the numbers when available. I wasn't aware that spring rates varied as much indicated in that link.

Im going to do the following.

OME 895E (1 1/2 lift" ) in rear with 5100's

Toytec Ultimate with 5100's (non adjustable) in the front and will adjust the CO's to 2 1/2"

This should give me 1" of rake for towing light loads like the tractor and ATV.

Trying to stay with a little lower of a lift. Going to run stock wheels with some GYDT's 265/70/17 "C" rated.

If you want to wait a month to see some pictures I should have mine put together by that time. I have 884's for the front and 895E's for the rear. I also have the 5100's for all four corners and I also bought UCA's because I wanted to go with a 285/70/17. I have been piecing this together and just got the tires this weekend. I started this almost 5 months ago so I'm getting antsy to get it done as well. Good luck with whatever choices you make.
