how do i make my 2.7l 4cyl 4runner faster stronger??

it has 150hp and 177torque. Want more out of it without blowing big money. Any affortable suggestion?

What you'll see on this forum is that the majority of us install a cold air intake and redo the exhaust. Both are reasonably inexpensive. Essentially they help your truck breath and exhale more efficiently resulting in faster and more efficient throttle response.

check out the 2.7L supercharger. Toyota did make one for the 4 banger.

I can tell you do not worry about doing the 3.4 V6 swap. After talking to several Toyota performance shops they have been more successful in getting higher HP numbers from the 2.7 you have versus our 3.4 V6. Good place to call for basic information would be URD(underdog racing development) and LC Engineering.
