How do I remove the rear side panel to acces the AMP/SUB?

Hi, planning an navigation unit installation in my car, and I tried to get the rear panel off to look at the sub/AMP in my 08 4runner.

I couldn't find the way to un-clip the side panel,

any tips / info on how to do this?

Any chances you know where the connector end-up in the radio/kick panel area for the bluetooth microphone which is located in the overhead console?

Also where is the microphone supposed to mount in there?

nobody in the Audio section of the forum seems to know the answer.

Since mine is older, I didn't have that much to worry about. I installed a new sub in the factory box, and my write contains some info about the rear setup as with pics. I linked to the above article as well. Really easy, but not as simple as one might think. Click the link in my sig where it lists the sub/amp and it'll take you to my write-up, not sure if it'll help but can't hurt much.
 
Ha ha, wish I had seen that last week. I just finished installing amps back there last night. I'm not sure it would have made things easier (it really isn't difficult) but I would have felt better that I was doing the right thing.
 
I found where the microphone mounts, it's a special sunglass holder which contains a location for the microphone.

My car doesn't have this location, I may either drill it to make it work or something.

Last thing is where the microphone connectors ends behind the dash, can't find them.
 
Subwoofer panel cover, removable or not?

Ok I'm confused too. Is it or is it not possible to remove just the part of the panel covering the sub (not the entire side panel, but the portion that looks like an outline of the subwoofer compartment)?

If you can't pull off that small portion covering the sub, why is it outlined like it is supposed to be removable?
