How do you remove a 95 Cig lighter receptacle?

So I burned up the lighter in my 95 using a 12v compressor to air up after a day at the beach. Went in to replace it last night, took everything apart, no issues there, but could not figure out how to remove the receptacle from the dash panel. I had the panel out and looked at it up and down and was just not getting it. Typical Toyota design.

Wound up wiring up an auxiliary outlet under the ashtray with the wiring from the lighter, looks and works great. However, I still want to replace the stupid lighter, how in the world does it pop out of the dash panel?

when you have the panel out where the cig lighter is, there is a nut that screws onto the cig lighter housing, thats what holds it in place on the panel, unscrew that nut and undo your wires and it should pop right off
