How do you say x-reas?

I was watching a video the other day and the guy pronounced it as "x-race." That's not how I say it in my mind when I read it and now how I'd say it out loud either. To me, it's (phonetically) x re (rhymes with see/sea) ass with the emphasis on the first syllable. Anyone know for sure?

This is a great idea for a thread. This has caused me a few disagreements.

I say it like "x-rays" but I've x-ray-uhs and x-race too.

ETA, I'd prefer to start calling it "piece of crap" and "causes endless problems" and "never should have come on the 4runner" after I install billies on Friday

I don't think it has a 'proper' annunciation since it's not an actual word...

That being said, I pronounce it the same as "Junk" or "Sucks" or "Garbage"..... Not to be critical. :shrug:

I think the idea was brilliant from toyota (for on-road use to market to the soccer mom style customers who never leave pavement), but the real world implementation of the design idea is horrible from a reliability/ maintainability standpoint.

Bingo, it's like trying to come up with a proper way of pronouncing ABS, you don't hear people calling it "abs", like the six-pack of abs we all have right?
