How do you sit with eibachs and 890s?

So I finally got my lift on.. Eibachs/5100 and 890s with stock shocks. I have the 5100 set at the bottom notch. I'm 1 inch higher in the front then the rear and about a half inch difference side to side. It's driving me nuts. I'd rather be a bit higher in the back. You guys that have the same setup are you the same?

I have the same setup as you, and down below is how I sit. Its slightly higher in the rear, but I also carry no additional weight or spare.

That looks great! I need to find out what's going on. My front from ground to fender sits 37.5-38 inches and rear is 36.5-37

You need to measure from center hub to fender lip not ground to fender. Its the only true measurement to show your lift height. Tire and wheel differences affect the ground to fender meausrements leaving you with an inaccurate measurement of lift height.

Are you running the Tacoma 5100s or the Tundra 5100s.

The front should not be higher than the back on the bottom notch. Have you checked to make sure your spring perch on your front 5100s is not upside down.

I have the same setup and I'm running my Tundra 5100s on the second notch in the front. My front was about 1/4" higher than the back and I installed a couple of trim packers in the back on each side and it now has about 1/2" of rake.

Your perch should look like this. If you install them upside down you will get significantly more lift. (ask me how I know)

I measured hub to fender the other day and forgot to write it down, just measured to see what the difference was between front to back, but that is a possibility and would make sense on the perch, I put em on the way they came..thanks!

I have/had same setup, once my springs settled and with any weight in the rear i had some sag. Vs adjusting the front, i added a 1.5" spacer in the rear. That gave me a little rake when empty, but level with some weight in the rear. Later this week im replacing the springs in back and the spacers will be available for sale if you are interested in them. Good luck either way, its rewarding once you get it all dialed in.

I have the same part number shocks. Not sure if they are Tacoma or not but it's the ones that come up from toytec under our category

I have the same setup, but I have 5100's in the rear too. You still have the stock shocks on the rear? Are they fully extended? Is there any room for travel?

I was planning on taking the top nut off at ride height to see if it was pulling the truck down any. I had got some ome comfort shocks used on here and we're barely like a quarter or half inch longer then stock.. I thought the ome were for lifted suspension

but yes they are the stock ones, I was in a hurry last weekend when I installed the kit, all 4 shocks, coils, upper control arm bushings both sides and rear sway links and diff drop in 5 hours, not to bad

I've never heard of that being an issue before, but I guess it could be a starting point. I agree that you need to also get some true height measurements.

I think I totally see your problem....in that pic you put up of your front setup it looks like your spring perch is not on the bottom clip. I think I can see the little indention where you put the c-clip, which would mean you're either on the middle setting or maybe even the top setting. I'm not 100% positive because that strut is a little dirty, but I'm pretty sure I can make out that bottom setting c-clip mark. That would describe why you're higher in the front. You'll need to completely disassemble both front struts and move that c-clip to the very bottom setting ASAP because right now you're getting like 4 inches of lift. At that much lift you're causing a ton of strain to your cv axles, ball joints, etc so I would try to not drive it until you get it lowered. I even see in your pic the inner CV boot spittin a little grease already.

If you only have 3 grooves then you have the Tacoma 5100s. The perch on them sitting on the bottom groove may actually sit higher than the bottom groove on the Tundra 5100s. Tundra 5100s have 4 grooves. I know I have seen a post where someone put standard yellow bilsteins on their 4runner and actually got a lift out of it because of this. The best thing to do is measure your hub to fender and get back to us.
