How easy are the LE rums to scratch on a curb

Hey all,

Looking at picking up at 2012 limited. While I love the look of the rims, I wonder how easily they scrach if I bump up against a curb when parking? I know that's something I will do, so I am not keen on a rim that isnt "protected" by the tire sidewall.

Well I always get myself as close to the curb as possible to get away from the door dingers and do scuff the tires from time to time. No issues whatsoever for me with the 20" LE wheels.

I use this mirror mainly to see the curbs. I know you can angle down the side view mirror, but you may not do it all the time and the time you forget or get lazy, it is when the wheel scrapes.

I put the mirror on inside lower. You can scotch tape first to see what is best for you.

Purely dependent on how you drive, mine were perfect after two years since I didn't off-road with them. I sold to avoid damage off-road and for better tire choice for where I drive. Never hit a curb parking around town...

The wife's 17 inch wheels on her car look like they've been off-roaded she has scraped the curb so much. I just shake my head and bite my tongue.

70k and no curb-rash. My wife drives it, so that's a very pleasant surprise. Now, the 275/55-20 tires have seen a curb or two.

The rim does not stick out farther than the tire. You can rub the tire against the curb without damage. Unless you hit the curb very hard you will have no problem.
