4WD on V6
toy4smi: I don't see anything about not shifting into 4H on dry pavement in the manual. 4L is another story though. Personally, I'm an old school 4WD person, putting the transfer case into 4WD on rainy days once a month to lubricate the chassis and the shafts and keep the seals fresh. V8 system is always in 4WD, so this is unnecessary for this system.
As far as speed in which to engage 4WD... Common sense is the best choice. If you are going 80, do you really think that 4WD is going to help you? Momentum will carry you through the the woods and down the ravene to grandmas house, whether the front wheels are driving or not.
