How fast has you t4r gone?

I got pulled over for 60 in a 45 and the cop just gave me a warning... Didn't even ask for my license or registration. Coolest cop ever. That was a few months ago.

That I am aware of, 93, but like some of the others, once you pass 80, it looses that solid feel. Its either that or I am getting old an the realities of what could go wrong outweigh the rush of how fast it goes.

After being in a pretty bad accident in 1993 that took about 1/3 of my foot off down to the bone, I became a big-time speed wuss. It's probably in the 83-84 MPH range with the 4Runner and just did about 90 in Nebraska a couple weeks ago in the Altima on a family road trip while trying to catch up to my brother. A couple years ago, my buddy took me for a spin in his Ferrari and we hit 142 on the expressway in Chicago. Never again. I think I finally unclenched from that one just the other day.

I like listening to you guys talk about how skittish these things are over 90. You should try driving my 1955 Dodge pickup, you would crap your pants.... lol I have trouble keeping it in one lane when I go over 55. I plan on improving this a little as I replace stuff, right now the truck is all original and unrestored.

had the runner to about 100. with the supercharger, it gets there with ease, but it doesn't like to stay there, nor do I want to drive that fast. our gas mileage is bad enough at 65-70...why risk your life and the rig just to get worse fuel economy haha.

I've seen the 160's in my old supercharged e46 m3 (2004). fastest was 166, gps recorded. felt safe as hell in that thing but I was on a road that was long, straight and flat all the way to the horizon and I was the only car in sight. going that fast illegally is fun, sure, but I feel like its a desire you outgrow.

When my truck was stock I set the cruise at 109. At 110 the limiter kicked in and knocked me down to 105. It seemed to handle okay

I've been up to 85 twice in my 2000. Both times scared the crap out of me. I will never understand the rush people get from going fast. Never really did it for me. I'm only 23, also. Most guys my age like to drive as fast as they can. I guess I'm just an old man at heart.

Ya every time I wanna go fast, I floor it and think, damn this thing is slow. Then I just give up. Eh it's a 4runner it's supposed to go slow over anything not be fast on pavement.

i've taken it over a 100 several times and even got it 110 once. that was while it was stock tho but it was very planted and i felt comfortable doing it... as long as there were no other cars on the road of course =P

Fastest I have been in a 4Runner was about 175 KM/H in my newish at the time '88 4runner. That was a long time ago, any 4runners since then have stayed within 20-30 km/h of the speed limit.

LOL sounds like my commute,average 70-75 and occasionally 80.
