How Fast Have you Gone in Your 4Runner?

I don't think I've ever pushed it over 80 mph (99 sr5). Definitely prefer to cruise around 70 thought

In the Gen 2 I'm not sure it would of gone over 100

Hitting 90's was pushing it and it took awhile. Stock truck with 31's.

the 4runner is the only vehicle where I don't mind driving slow (or with the speed limit)...... mainly because anything faster than 85 mph, the engine sounds and vibrates as if its angry (not in a good way).

Top I’ve got to is 100km/h
It takes forever to get any speed up and needs flat or a bit of a downwards incline to stay at any high speeds.
Have a 1985 4runner and this is a car I really don’t mind going slow in as it works hard at any higher speeds and makes it feel like I’m going faster than I really am

My 5th gen governor kicked in around 110. 4th gen V8 was 90, but I have no front ASB on that truck, so it's dangerous as hell and VERY stupid. 1st gen? 75 flat ground w a tail wind lol.

Hit 100 on the dial but actual speed at 100 is more like 96 for me

Testing windshield repair

Hit 100 going downhill with wind at my back - tying to make sure they fixed the seal leak/whistle in my windshield replacement (on my fifth windshield - gotta love living in CO) - anyway, back to the point - no whistle at 100, even with the gust of a semi coming the other direction....

Around 80-85 mph once.
I used to roadrace and dragrace motorcycles, I filled my "need for speed" long ago.
Now I'm that old guy plodding along at the posted speed.

Usually hit 110 coming down the mountain at like 3am. Not scary at all.
