How hard is it to take the driver side window out?

Is it hugely complicated? Or is it as simple as removing the panel, unbolting the glass from the bracket, and popping it out through the window?

I purchased a 4Runner last year with tinted windows all around. I didn't realize until I went to get my car inspected for the first time that my driver/passenger side windows are over the limit. I'd like to keep the tint, so I was going to take the windows out, go get the inspection done, and then put them back in.

Not too extreme. That's exactly what I did when I got a fix it ticket for tinted windows.

It's pretty much that simple. Remove the screw from the interior handle. Remove the handle. Pop off the arm rest, take out the two screws behind that. One push pin on the door panel where it meets the dash, push in the center and then pull the whole thing out. Another one on the side near the B-pillar. Pop up the window switch trim and unplug the connector. Then just pop off the door panel and lift over the lock. Plug back in the window switch and roll the window down until the screws line up with holes in the door, loosen the two screws and then slide out the glass. Should only take a few minutes.
