Almost any modern car will have a good engine. When a car dies its usually something else. How are our transmissions supposed to hold up?
I've had some small failuires, like the power steering pump, but those won't kill the car. I think the frame will rust out before anything major fails.
I just learned that the Ford Explorer’s motor was designed with the water pump inside the engine. What water pump doesnt fail by 100k. Get a nice water leak in the engine and kaboom. I used to think Ford was the only american vehicle worth buying. I dont think that anymore. All our cars are toyota or lexus.
Even Ford themselves admit that the new ecoboost engines cannot last over 135k by design.
I don't believe that for 1 second. You got any proof?
