CVJ mentions nothing about beefing up the CV joint itself, which is what fails able 95% of the time. Me personally, I would go with Lotus axles. They have good reviews and are more likely to break than your diff if you have an aftermarket carrier in your diff. (See Dirtco's Build Thread). This is only my opinion. At any rate, you can keep wheeling and replacing CV until you are just plain sick and tired of replacing CVs. They are relatively easy to change out on the trail and is a good insurance that your diff is probably safe.

lifetime warranty on reman cv axles from oreily's and autozone, i bought one from each store, and have switched out 6 axles between the two, all free except the original purchase. so i always keep two extras in the back! TOTAL cvs busted- 7

have yet to bust a cv with my 35s, but somehow managed to chowder up a 3.90 rear pinion and ring gear with my open diffs. i found it unusual since the 3.90 has an 11 tooth pinion and 43 tooth ring gear, compared to the smaller pinions of the 4.10 4.30 4.56 4.88 5.29 gear sets.

I have broke ZERO cv's and trust me Ive done some exploring I just air down and go nice and slow 
Though my front diff grenaded itself randomly, didnt even open it to check just bought a used one from a junk yard for $400 and have been good since. I bought new napa CV's when I installed it just because.
