How many highlanders were made?

Hey All,

So I have decided to go ahead and buy the beat up 99' Highlander w/ 225k that I have been eyeing for a little over a month (at the shop now, pics coming soon). This will be my 2nd 3rd gen and I have been searching high and low for a Highlander/Sport since before I bought my first one.

Question is, how many did they make b/t 99-00'? And how many came w/ a locking diff like mine?

Thanks guys.

No idea how many were made and not sure where you would find that info. But I can assure you that not all of them had the eLocker. We're retrofitting an eLocker into mine now.

Thanks guys,

I live in Seattle and I have seen 1, in my neighborhood ironically. After searching all the car selling websites as well as the auto auction circuit I have found a grand total of 4-5 that are optioned out like mine. With all the 3rd gen 4Runners that Toyota sold I'm guessing that they accounted for less than 10% of inventory in 99-00'--even less when you compare them against all 96-02' models.

All i know is that I love it even more than my 99 SR5, body damage and all.

I'm looking forward to your comments and ideas. Can't believe I've thrown my hat back in the ring.

There were only two.

1. Conner McLeod
2. Duncan McLeod

And all this time you thought there could be only one.:jk:
