How many miles do you drive a week?

I was just wondering how far you guys drive a week. On average I drive right around 100 miles give or take and I was curious how far everyone else was driving.

In a typical week I drive 460 miles just to get to and from work. Add in a hiking trip every other week and it turns into about 700 on those weeks.

Mileage Driven


I drive about 80 to 90 thousand miles a year. About 20k in my personal vehicles and roughly 70k per year in my company truck.

On an average week only driving to/from work and church, out to lunch, & back and forth to my friends house.. I average about 100.
If I go out and do anything extra.. easily add 50-300 to that.
Luckily I work pretty close to home and almost all of my friends live within 6 miles of me so typical weekly mileage is low. :lookout:

I'm a realtor so the least is about 150 the most I have done in a week is 1500.

51 miles a week to and from work, I don't take lunch, so it never really varies..
Weekends are a different story, we may drive 10 miles on the weekend, or we may go to NYC for a day.

20K a year works out to be about 385 per week for me.

275 or so normally, but then a single trip to the desert can be an extra 2-300 on a weekend at random times. Then the 1-2k trips to the Sierras or other western destinations.

I spent 13 years working at home, that was great for the wallet and truck longevity But no more...

I drive big rigs (80,000 lbs GCWR) and heavy-duty (52,000 lbs GVWR) straight trucks from the Richmond area to Northern and Northwestern VA. On the road all day, but am home every night. I get paid commission by the size of my haul - so heavier is usually better. My cargo is beer or wine, which is heavier than just about anything other than shingles, steel or bricks.

My 2006 International tractor has 473,000+ miles on it already. :cheer2::hat:
