How many miles is too many for a supercharger?

Ok, I will definitely look into a sprint booster. I've got tunes on basically everything but the Toyota, so I am definitely a fan.

17k mile 10th anniversary edition... oh man I LOVE the red inserts on the seats of the 10thAE. That S/C with the T56..I bet that thing is a blast to drive. I can only imagine the worry you feel though like you said about soccer moms. My butt would be puckering and not just from the horsepower.

It has a twin screw Whipple pushing 18psi of boost, along with a host of supporting mods to make it extra interesting. :dancin: That red/black interior with the black body was definitely what I fell in love with when I first saw it, and actually sold my FFR to be able to buy it. I figured I could always build another Cobra at some point, but a factory muscle car like the Terminator doesn’t come along every day, especially when they first came out. Obviously factory muscle cars are bit more common these days.

Definitely do a search on here and read some threads about the SB. What’s interesting is that it doesn’t actually alter the tune at all. Because it plugs in directly at the pedal, it’s easy to remove if you sell the vehicle. It also has a valet mode, as well as a sort of anti theft program, which completely disablesthe gas pedal, so even if someone stole your keys, they could start the car, but couldn’t move, lol.

What I want is a completely rebuilt 1GR-FE motor.

I work with a guy that was involved on this projects motor and drivetrain. After I mentioned I have a 4Runner he sent me this info.

Honeslty, if you want a power-adder and don't tow often/heavy loads, a turbo would likely be a much cheaper option for you and is just as, if not more, useful than a SC if specced correctly.

As far as the device that changes the signal from the pedal, they are a terrible idea IMO. You are inserting a device that essentially has complete control of the throttle of your vehicle. if the OEM pedal fails, there are methods implemented in the factory ECU to protect the occupants/vehicle. If the device you insert fails, the ECU likely cannot detect it, and you could have a runaway event.
