How many miles need to make my 99 4Runner 4cyl 2.7l OIL CHANGE

I few months ago i went to the Toyota dealer to have an oil change 5w-30 with genuine Toyota oil filter. My question it is how many miles need to have an oil change is 3,000 or 5,000 miles. Right now my 4Runner overpass 5,000 miles by 64 miles is it bad or how many miles can reach with my current oil filter. or i have to take it to service right of away. Its a 4cyl 3-RZE engine.



My 4runner has current miles 179,348 miles. During the oil change it has 174,285 miles = 64 miles behind of 5,000 miles.:thumb3:

You are fine, just get it changed whenever you can at your earliest convenience. Ideally, 5k intervals are fine for your oil changes and going over a little bit shouldn't matter.

I think in terms of 5000 miles or six months, whichever comes first.
This time it was right about 4000 miles at the six month mark.

I do conventional oil change at 5k, synthetic around 7-8k...in all my cars for the last 21 years, never an issue. The key is knowing how hard you push your engine, dust/salt in the air where you live, and keeping levels up.

I aim for 5k miles between changes, sometimes it's less. Considering, I don't really drive the truck super hard, I figure that is a-ok.
