The only place that I'm familiar with for rock climbing/trail riding/camping is Barnwell Mountain in Gilmer, TX. It's just north of Longview, TX.

we have no absolutely no interest in rock clawling, but we would camp, hike, mountain bike, shoot, etc.

we used to take our '91 YJ up north along the Red River...

I've heard many good things about Barnwell Mountain. There's another place west of Fort Worth; Bridgeport offroad that i've heard of as well. I wouldn't mind meeting up somewhere reasonable as well.

I'd be interested in Bridgeport some weekend - it's close, just the west side of Fort Worth and Denton off of 380.

Not the 29th, though. But another weekend is good for me. I'm probably out for an overnighter right now, but I'd meet up for a day trip.

We used to have a decent 4Runner community here - but this was back in 2000-2002. A few of us went up to the inaugural CO4RJ in Buena Vista. No idea if any of those guys are still around, though. Some might be on Yotatech. To be honest, I haven't even checked in there since picking up my 02 a few weeks ago.
