What's the difference between a Trail Edition and the other trim levels (SR5/Sport/Ltd)?
Here's the Toyota press release detailing the Trail Edition...
A Trail Edition 4Runner is available as an upgrade to the SR5 model, whereas the Urban Runner remains an upgrade to the Sport Edition. This new Trail Edition 4Runner is only be available on model #8664 (GRN215L-GKAGKA) which is the SR5 4x4 V6 4.0L. It's features are as follows:
Rear Differential: A rear electronic differential lock system is provided. BD20B Type (with Differential Lock Actuator). A RR Diff Lock switch will be located on the center console along side of the DAC switch. A new A-TRAC switch is also located in this area. The Differential Gear Ratio is 3.727, Ring Gear Size is 205mm (8.0") and the Oil Capacity is 2.95L (3.12 us qts, 2.60 imp qts)
Tire & Wheel: Newly designed 16-inch aluminum wheels with tire size P265/70R16. The Offset is 15mm.
Suspension: Bilstein made mono-tube shock absorbers.
Exterior: A color keyed radiator grille, outside door handles and rear license garnish. Distinctive black-painted tubular side steps and roof rack. Unique badging.
Interior: Seating with waterproofed fabric upholstery, a leather shift knob and perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel with integrated audio controls. AM/FM CD with six speakers and detachable TomTom Personal Navigation Device with MP3/WMA and Bluetooth capability.
Meter: The combination meter has been changed to include an A-TRAC indicator light and a rear differential lock indicator. The downhill assist control (DAC) indicator light and washer indicator light have been discontinued.
Brake Control System: ABS, EBD, brake assist, Auto LSD, TRAC, A-TRAC, and VSC are provided. An A-TRAC switch is provided.
