The 05+ tacoma elocker works great. I have one installed. As long as its not engaged, ATRAC works normal. On an obstacle it works great because the ATRAC only plays with the front wheels while the rear wheels never engage the traction control.

Did you drop the complete tacoma rear axle or just the e locker? Thanks again for the info.

Just the 3rd member and cut the housing, since Tacomas are drum rear and leaf spring I don't think I would want that.

So this is pretty relevant to this thread.

I've got an '05 V8 Sport that's getting an E-Locker. Like others here, I'm taking the 3rd member from another Toyota (FJ, in this case) and cutting the housing.

What have others done for a dash light to show locker status? I remember reading somewhere the TEs replaced the DAC light with an E-Locker light, but I haven't been able to confirm that. I'd LOVE to get an OEM-quality light arrangement, I'm a sucker for a clean install.

Here is my 2009 TE. 140k miles, two owner with great service history. Picked it up in June for $13,500. Some surface rust, peeling paint/small rust spots on the roof, and some wear and tear on the bodywork. In hindsight this should have been 10-12k max, oh well. I love it, moved from Arkansas to Washington with my family and it performed great. Picture is from the Rockies in Utah.
