I have 2008 4WD with 40k mi.
The front CVC joints wobble slightly and I am wondering how much is ok? (Trans in neutral, no torque on joints) The outer end, away from trans, moves sideways about 1/8 inch max (90 deg to the axle).
I am really surprised to see so much wobble but maybe that is normal for the 4WD CVC's?
The only comparison I have is the FWD CVC's on my wife's 2005 Lexus with ~65k mi. They do not wobble near as much but, that's a total different setup.
My warranty insurance policy ends at the end of this month and if it needs repaired, I need to take action now.
