CVC Joint Wobble on a 4WD. Some OK?

The front 4WD CVC joints wobble slightly and I am wondering how much is ok? Only 40k mi on the 08.

To describe how much wobble:
the outer end of the joint, away from trans,
moves sideways, 90 deg to the axle,
about 1/8 inch max forward to rear.

Is this normal for 4WD CVC's??

There is a little as you describe as normal. And I also notice, even with others, passenger side has just a little bit more than driver, emphasizing just a little.

But, still wondering, does the end of the CVC joint farther away from the gear box, move back and forth, front to rear of the truck, as much as 1/8 inch???

If your referring to into the steering knuckle side, mine doesn't have play.
Just both sides going into the front differential.
