As others are mentioning here, the tax difference could be up to several thousand since sales taxes by state range from 0% to 8.5%.
But to answer the question, I'm in CA and paid $39,945 out the door for a '14 4x4 SR5 premium with 3rd row seat. That was done at $35,561 purchase price with NO additional dealer extras purchased (extended warranties, service plans, etc., etc., etc.). Taxes and CA registration were $4,384, bringing the OTD to $39,945.
As an aside, it's not true that dealers always have to come out ahead on the sale at all, as the service department is often the real cash cow. They can often sell below invoice (at a loss on the vehicle) if they're highly convinced they can sell you an extended warranty or service plan and add a few hundred dollars of margin to make up for it. And even if they can't and literally sell at a loss overall (like for mine), they still might do the deal because of the service revenue your car may generate with them. The free 2-years of service you get actually really help them out because they actually bill Toyota for all services performed under the plan.
