How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

I have to wonder, as I'm shopping right now....
If you can buy at Invoice, [regardless of trim level]
is that a good price?
Was told today by the Costco dealership today that their pricing is $500 over invoice but 'better deals can be had'. This was after I applied for Costco pricing in St. Louis.

What should be a 'target' price relative to invoice or msrp?

Looking through this thread, you'll see a lot of deals under invoice. Mine was 2.5% under invoice, granted that was with almost 5 hours of negotiating spread out over 2 days. But there are so many factors, location being one that it's hard to say the invoice is or is not a good deal.

2016 Trail Premium w/KDSS (KD), Carpet Floor Mat & Cargo Mat (P CF), nothing else.
Selling Price: $38,391 (MSRP: $41,520; 7.59% off)
Doc Fee: $169.27
Drive out Tags: $10.00 (estimate)
Tax, Registration and Plates will be done myself back in state of residence. (vehicle tax rate of 6.25%)
Best part to me is not giving Gulf States Toyota the time of day :banana:

Just went to the dealer yesterday and allocated a blue sr5 4x4 base model. Only 1 coming to the gulf states next week but getting the next round in late April. Even then, only a handful of blue 4x4s coming in. Did all me negotiating via email and finally met the dealer yesterday.
So we're at 33,9 +TTL. 37k OTD. debating whether to have distribution in Houston install TRD rims for extra 954 and dealership would add ko2 but no quote yet. Then all there is left to do for me is install TRD grill and plastidip emblems. Then I'm done...maybe.

Im in houston as well. Blue was tough to find. I wanted the SR5 premium 4x4 and the only ones they could get had the third row in it which I didnt want. I settled on gray. It wasnt my first choice but it was a a close second.

Looking at a 2016 SE5 base 4x4. Has navi, running boards, exhaust tip, cross bars, and third row. We really don't need the third row but msrp is just over 37k. We're at 34,100 plus ttl. The wife and I are ready to pull the trigger on it but she thinks we can hold out and get a better deal. Great Lakes region.

MSRP: $44,744 (after $1,000 "Keep It Wild" savings)
Paid $42,150 + TTL, and got $2,000 higher for my trade than anywhere else would have given me (even Infiniti themselves).
Given the limited timing I had, I am happy with the deal. If I had more time, sure maybe I would have done a little better, but like the car so much that I haven't thought twice about it.
They had a TEP coming in (also black/black) which is what I was initially planning to buy, but it did not have KDSS. I figured if KDSS was out of the picture, I'd be happier with the Limited in the long run since it had a lot of my old Lexus' creature comforts. But for informational purposes, could only get them down to $38k on the TEP (sticker was something like $39.5k).

I keep seeing people in other states get great deals, so it's really frustrating to see that dealers here won't allow you to option these trucks out how you want even when "ordering" them. It makes no sense.

2016 SR5 4X4 Base with Nav ... 34K +TTL.... Negations took about 5 min... signed papers and was out in less than 1.5 hrs!
We ordered it and it took about 2 weeks to get there. Also we decided we didnt want all that crap the dealer tries to put on there and just charge you more for like the paint protection and all the other little things.....
My wife and I were both very happy!

Many ppl go outside their Region to buy what they want. You're going to buy your Region's way .... or travel.

Whelp....I'm on the east coast and it isn't easy obtaining a LE without third row and cargo tray Either it seems. Found a nice dealer after Xmas willing to order what we need....three months gone by, dealer called today, pushed back another 3-4 weeks delivery. At this rate the truck might end up as a 2017 model. Can not use the truck with those options even if they were free.
Not sure what the hold up is . We ll just wait it out and see.
