How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

It isn't. If you do not get it from factory/port with the rear sliding tray then you either have to go without or try to figure out which parts you need, what changes are required to put it in and do a custom job. Possible? Probably but probably much higher cost than what the package runs for when ordered with it.
Bummer. I'm sure some of the more handy members in this forum have worked through it.

Looking to get a 2016 limited. No extras(Running boards,3rd row etc.) I know price varies from region. I'm in Chicago. Just want to get an idea of what people are paying before taxes and fees. Anyone get one under 40k
I got Limited approx. a month and a half ago from a Wisconsin dealer. I paid $40,950 (including destination fees of $900) before TTL. The vehicle has wheel locks, mudguards and all weather mats. It doesn't have running boards or 3rd row. This is the best offer I got. I wanted to get Black with Redwood interiors and I was lucky that this dealer had one in stock.

I contacted every Toyota dealer in 200 miles radius but this was the best offer. The next best offers were $41,300 and $41,400.

I can share the salesperson's details if you are interested.

Not sure if Toyota's moved all 4Runner production to Japan now (highly doubt it) but at least back in 2005 there were still unit VINs which started with "K" (Kentucky - I believe that's what it represented).

Got another question for the general forum though. I'm contemplating an upgrade from my 2005 T4R SE to something more current. The thought of having to deal with car sales people makes me cringe, and honestly puts me off the idea of buying a new car. Anyway, I'm in Southern California pretty close to the Pasadena area. I was curious of any forum members have had good experiences with a particular dealership and / or sales person (internet or otherwise) and can give me a referral. To be fair, I'm not at 100% I will purchase a new vehicle, I'm at about 80%. I just don't know enough of what options / packages are available, haven't test driven anything yet, and I will need to research the value of my current 4Runner.

I was reading an article on Edmunds.com about how to get an internet quote. An internet salesman responded to the article saying how he's a professional, and you have to provide accurate information, and what sets him off about customers looking for quotes. On and on he went. Well, he might be one of the few (very few) car salesman who treat his clients with the respect he expects from his clients. BUT you know what? A stereotype is a stereotype for a reason. I'm sure he's dealt with car salesmen in his formative years before he entered the car-selling game. Sorry for the rant.

Anyway, if anybody's got one of the good ones to recommend please PM me unless you're willing to share their info to the entirety of this forum. Appreciate it.

I dealt with Marcos at San Bernardino Toyota and he was awesome. I went straight to him instead of the "pre-salesman" that hand you off to the big guys. I wanted a White SR5 Premium with 4X4 and 3rd row. He had it for me the next day and all their cars come with 3 years complimentary maintenance. I think that extra service is only like $380 but its free. I got mine for I think about 38k, i cant really remember its been awhile. I saw it come off the truck with only 2 or 3 miles on it.

For Reference I went to the Toyota dealerships in:
Anaheim, Buena Park, Whittier, Longo, Montclair, Riverside, Chino Hills, Corona, and Temecula. The closer towards the OC and LA the prices went higher so I never bothered. I went to SB because it was on the way home from work and I figured a demographic with lower income might mean a better price. I showed him all my business cards from where I went and he promised me I would not collect anymore.

I had a 2013 Highlander lease to trade in with about 15k miles on it and Crown Toyota in Chino Hills did offer me the highest amount for a trade in by about $500 so that was a good deal.

2016 SR5 Premium with 3rd Row

I just picked up a 2016 SR5 Premium with 3rd row, remote start, rigid running boards, and black TRD wheels, and added front window tint for $38,000.

I had no idea there was a Toyota dealership in Chino Hills. Will check that out. Thanks

Nice! Question. .what is LTE?
How much more is everyone seeing for the 3rd row option? And just how small is that area? ....not that I'll ever sit there.

Just picked my T4R today! - SoCal

If you guys want a good deal and a great guy to work with, go to Crown Toyota in Ontario and ask for John Napolitino. He asked what price I would be comfortable with and I gave it and he could've totally went "ok" BUT he said what price would you be HAPPY with - and then we did that. It's like he bargained for me!

Anyway, I got my 2016 T4R Trail w/KDSS, cargo cover, roof rack crossbars, carpet mats, exhaust tip for $37xxx + TTL. (MSRP - $39,865) I went through costco. If you guys don't have costco membership, find someone who does.

They don't have anymore trails at Ontario but they had other SR5s. Glendora Toyota has 2 trails - they wanted about 4% below MSRP and was a bit pushy on the phone. Glad I went with John for better service and much better price.

Just got my TRD pro today. Well, didn't get it but I bought it. It is in freight and hopefully will be here in a week or two. Got a good deal at Temecula Toyota right by the house.

what is considered good deal? I was asking them about the trail version before someone decided to buy it right before I got there. And they were only willing to go 2k off on it.

Damn that sucks and that deal sounds pretty good too. John N held the car for me. It wasn't even on the lot for 24 hrs and I got lucky that he emailed me the minute he got it. He then hid it in a back lot way off site for me so other sales associates won't sell it to someone else.

I feel like I got a good deal on it. I went in about a week back looking for the Pro but they only had the white premium. I loved it. I was hoping it would be there when the pro came in so I could do a side by side comparison. But since it sold so quickly I decided to jump on the pro. There is another quicksand in claremont but they want a little too much and a white pro in san diego but I really wanted quicksand. This was the best price on a quicksand I could find. I did not want a few of the options on it but oh well.

Bought a Trail Premium (below) with remote start and a few other little things. Sticker $41042 before dealer fluff--$41842 after dealer fluff. First told dealer I wouldn't pay for any of the dealer fluff adds. Invoice was $38,486. Paid 1% over invoice, or $385 more. Total $38,871.

Won't name names at this time but had worked with a local dealer for delivery of a TDR PRO about 1800 off of MSR although it had several options I did not want. One of the main reasons I agreed to the proposed contract was they convince me there would be a major change in the engine drive train for 2017 that matched the Tacoma. Gave a deposit and obtained financing with an anticipated delivery time of August? Got an email today from dealer that said vehicle was in their lot and would soon be ready for delivery. In the mean time they added a bush guard and were soon to install a running board and wanted to know how I liked their changes.
Told then NOT and refused to take delivery, they next said they would remove extras and it would be like I ordered. Again told them NOT. Thinking now of a 2017 but then again I may just cancel all together. The deposit was made with AMX, I know I can contest and get back if dealer wants to be a sH*T on not giving my money back.

By LTE I meant Limited. I think 3rd row costs additional $1,200 - 1,400. Third row area is too congested. It's only good for kids.

Thanks. I need an Illinois dealer as I have a trade. Tax credit. I did get a local dealer down to 40,615 for limited no extra options. Deal fell thru due to low trade offer.

That sounds like a good price. Lowest I have heard. Good luck with your search and I hope you get a good deal on your trade.

SR5 Premium 4x4
MSRP 39927
Sales price (before taxes, etc) 36063

If you're looking in DFW, it's worth the trip to Mt. Pleasant. Heck, they'll even deliver up to 500 miles.
