How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

That’s wild.

Obviously we are facing the same constraints here in Canada, but dealers here aren’t trying to soak their customers by going over MSRP or making overpriced tint a condition of sale. It’s pretty much order and wait.

I guess if the market there bears it, the dealers will do it.

Edit: I will add though that the extended warranty here is waaaay overpriced compared to the USA.

I just bought a new 2021 TRD ORP with the "XP Predator" cool guy package here in Florida, there was a standing $5k markup on all the new vehicles on the lot - I bought the only 4wd 4Runner they had (of 4 total) and the lot was 90% empty, as has been mentioned elsewhere. Manager said (grain of salt) the next TRD coming to the lot was about two and a half months away, according to the dealer allocations. On top of the Covid and production limitations, it's hurricane season down here, so more potential delays in deliveries and new stock.

Like 3xranger said, the used car market helps offset the cost of a new model. On a trade, I was actually able to get $5k MORE than I paid new for my '18 F-150 with about 45k miles thanks to the massive Ford rebates from a few years ago, and negotiated to MSRP for the new 4Runner. Very happy with the out the door price considering all the options and upgrades that will prevent me from spending on my own upgrades..for now. Planning to lean on Toyota reliability over my Ford Ecoboost gremlins and keep this for the long term.

Total MSRP with the ORP plus XP Predator / TOYOGuard Platinum / Mats / 4 Year Maintenance Package was $48,500, dealer market adjustment made it $53,500 on paper.

For perspective, dealer had a used and stock 2017 TRD ORP with 35k miles on it for $45k on the sticker price. Crazy times.

Yesterday Alexandria Toyota locked me in for a 2022 TRD ProLine Rush for MSRP. Taxes tags freight brought it to $56.5k otd. My buddy got a similar otd. Might change to the 22 Tundra depending on the engine reveal this weekend

Just got a call from my Toyota dealer. New 2022 ORP in lunar rock coming in Tuesday of next week. I’m going in on Monday to fill out the paperwork.

Dealer told me they got a 2022 ORP in army green today. He said that one was being fixed with lots of dealer installed upgrades including a lift. The price for that one was going to get north of $63,000 :yuck: Anyway, I will provide updates….

Just put money down on a white TRD ORP and got it out the door for 47k plus ttl.
MSRP with their BS mandatory port add on's was $47,370.
Only option was was the Premium Plus Multi Terrain monitor, ......No sun roof, sliding tray or side steps and the way he wanted it.

Just put deposit '22 ORP with KDSS and XP package. Didn't really want KDSS but that is all they have. $52102 plus doc fee. 10 days out.

Congrats. What color did you get? If I lived in Vermont, with resale values what they are, I too would consider trading in one as new as a ‘20 given the corrosion concerns.
Hopefully you will end up liking the KDSS.

I am not and while to get to I-5 the roads require chains, on the coast there is no real snow to speak of.
Just looking at some of the other threads on here about how their 5-6 year old T4R’s, seems to be a recurring theme. Not that all are cars are affected or that some do a better job of mitigating rust.

I wouldn’t have considered a 4Runner without it after spending much time with GX’s and LC’s that have it. Beyond some corrosion concerns and so on, I certainly have never read a professional review that does not speak to its efficacy.

21 Venture paid full sticker but no dealers markup. sticker was 47,127 but they gave me more trade in on my 19 f150 than I originally paid for it. Had to take advantage of the crazy used market.
