If there was no Covid and I had a Real California ID (needed to fly now), I might consider it, though would much rather build a relationship with a local dealer for any problems that might crop up.

Funny “we have no national ID system” but each state has the same “real” ID system requires to enter FEDERAL buildings and board commercial aircraft (whose primary function are INTERSTATE travel).
The greatest heists and violations of everything we fought against (communism, oppression) are being committed against our own citizens because we SUCK at solidarity and can’t see the forest for the trees.
“Divide and conquer” is not just a tactic for creating rifts internally among one people, but seems to also ring true in advancing agendas in small increments, for a frog-in-pan style fate.

Perhaps there is something special about CA, but it's my understanding that the Real ID is not required to fly in the US or enter Federal buildings until May 2023.

There's not. Rob may be unaware that the effective date has been pushed back several times. I flew recently with a non-real ID.

Seattle Washington area-MSRP & no "market adjustment" fee
Burien Toyota in city of Burien (Washing state) sells for MSRP with no "market adjustment". They also gave me decent price for my trade-in which means they gave me a bit of discount off MSRP. I tried multiple dealers in King and Snohomish counties and this was only one that I found that didn't have the "second" sticker price.

Burien is great but their waiting list is a year long (unless my notes are incorrect). If you're local, Toyota of Seattle and Toyota of Olympia are MSRP options but they won't sell to out-of-state buyers....although that limits the number of buyers you'd be competing with to find your next 'Runner.
Hello, new member here. Just in the beginning stages of purchasing a 2022 Trail in lunar rock. MSRP from a dealer in Show Low, AZ. I do not have the exact price yet because the dealer does not have the build sheet in yet. The 4runner is due in sometime near the end of February. I estimate it at $45k plus TTL.

I just bought a 2022 TRD Pro in Lime Rush from a central Ohio dealer for MSRP and no additional add-ons. I had no trade-in either.
I originally reached out to the dealer in August 2021 and got on their “list.” I was first in line for a Lime Rush Pro.
I was told MSRP back in August (they required no deposit) and they honored MSRP when it arrived five months later. :rockon:

Sounds about right depending on spec, but you can build it on Toyota's site and get a very close idea of MSRP with your options.
Does the dealer sell at msrp but add bs alarm package, 3m door edge protection so on when you go pick up? Make sure you get msrp in writing.
Longo Toyota sells at msrp, but they add $500 for alarm mandatory. Other Msrp dealers in southern cal add $1500-$4000 bs package when u go pick up. One dealer told me they sell at msrp. When I ask him what add on packages on top of msrp,he never got back to me.
A colleague of mine referred me to this dealership and although I did not ask if any fluff add-ons were in the deal, he did not mention any of that to me when he bought one about 30 days ago. Once I get the formal quote off the build sheet with options, I will update this post.

We just had one delivered today from Hatch Toyota in Show Low.
Red ORP with KDSS and a few other options.
Paid MSRP plus about $800 between doc fees and VIN etching and one other thing I forgot at the moment.
I found it on their website and/or thru the Toyota local inventory search on 1/3 and signed their offer same day. Made contact thru their website.
It rolled into dealer this morning and our salesperson (Destiny) delivered it this afternoon. No nonsense. I wasn't expecting the delivery and had anticipated having to pick it up.
Local dealers didn't have what we wanted and some were quoting $5k adjustments. Tucson dealer keeps cars 10 days before they let out of towners make an offer. Feel fortunate to have bought almost exactly (would have skipped moonroof) what we want at roughly MSRP.
Easiest car we ever bought. Never heard to step foot into dealer.
It's our second. We're bookending this generation. Other is a black 2010 SR5 2wd with 190k miles.

If I build it on Toyota now, it's $48,543. Looks like the base price is currently $300 more.

Anyone know how common it is for S.F. Bay Area dealers to charge a outrageous "Dealer Adjustment" over MSRP? Some, but not all that I've spoken to around here charge $3,000 over MSRP, putting a TRD ORP around $52K :faint:. Any luck negotiating one that does to drop it, or is the fact that they have a waiting list a good sign that's a "take it or leave it" charge?
Also, is 4-6 months an accurate estimate to special order an ORP?
