How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

My username is still accurate, but thinking of trading up to a 2023 4Runner *** if *** it’s going to be changing for 2024.

In reality, by the time they announce if they are going to discontinue the 5th Gen, it will most like the to late to pick what you want as the current year production will probably be winding down production and a bunch of other people will be also trying to grab up the last of them. It’s definitely a gamble.

For some reason I have a feeling that this isn’t the last year for the 5th gen and we will probably see one more year of production (2024) before the replacement drops…. But that is just a guess.

Any guess how long it had been in port prior to you making the purchase?
Mine hit port over the weekend and they said it would probably be 3-5 weeks before it would make its way to the KS dealer.
I’m just trying to gage how long it will be before I get to set eyes on it.

It was just over 3 weeks from port to dealership. There are several variables that will dictate how long including how busy the port is, how backlogged the rail yard is, and how many drivers they have to pick-up/drop of the cars. I’d realistically guess you’re looking at 4 weeks…but that’s just a guess based on past timelines.

True, but in Oklahoma you can get a vehicle and buy the tag after 30 days when the title is mailed to you. Other states like Kansas give you 60 days after purchase.

Oklahoma new vehicle TTL = 4.5% of purchase price, not sticker price. My TTL will be $2205 which brings price to around $51,200 OTD.

I ordered mine in December and got it in January Pearl White 2023 and paid $1K under MSRP. Of course i am one that only got one key fob as well so far. Didn't know they were only providing one until the sales guy was walking out with me to drive away and I said where is my other fob? No so happy about that.

I was able to get my 2023 TRD Off-Road Premium with KDSS, MTM and Sunroof for MSRP. There were some port installed options that I didn't want but I'm fairly fortunate not to pay for BS options (alarm, paint protection, etc.) or markup.

Paid a little under sticker for a 2023 Limited (like a couple hundred bucks under...I didn't ask why). Everything just lined up but most of the local dealers are selling at sticker unless it's a Pro. And, most are presold. Toyota still can't make enough 4Runners. I'm no longer interested in their excuses.

Regardless of what anyone says, you would have to ask your dealer.
Every dealer is different.

Staguard/LoJack is not a Toyota factory option, so your dealer added it. You might be successful in getting it removed, but most dealers that add stuff like that do it for the added profit, so they typically don’t want to remove it.

Generally speaking, the 4Runner has been selling at or above MSRP, so negotiating a lower price will depend on your negotiating skills and your dealers desire to move inventory. Best of luck.

Consider searching dealers in a larger area and you may find one with only the options you desire.

No LoJack or Stargard GPS was installed and that is based on the dealership you are going through.

What crap did they have on it to justify running it up another $18K past sticker (since I think those are sitting right at about $58K MSRP if I am not mistaken).

Amazing thing is you can get a Pro @ MSRP in Phoenix with no BS added onto it if you wanted one right now I'm pretty confident (especially if you were willing to wait a few months).
