They wanted $16,800 for it and walked out for $13k with warranty ( $100 bills in the middle of January in the used car business works well i guess)

That's a great deal in my book! I love buying vehicles that have a recently serviced timing belt/water pump/misc seals... that really takes some of the mandatory maintenance cost out of the picture for a few years.

I purchased my 4runner in september of this year, mid month, for $12,000. It's '03 Limited, V8 2wd. All leather no gps. Originally new at Legacy Toyota in Tallahassee and bought used by me at Kraft Nissan, also in Tallahassee, Florida.
It 103,000 on the ticker when I got it.

2004 Sport. 126k miles. No rust, new timing belt and water pump in central OH. V8, sunroof. Paid $10,360. Thought it was a pretty good deal from a dealer. JBL sound but no heated or power seats. Coming from a daily driver Honda Civic, this thing is a yacht!

I picked up my V6 4wd 08 SR5 with 30,200 miles in May 2013 as a certified Toyota from the dealer (New Rochelle, NY) for 21,999 (listed at 22999). It is a stock SR5 with the only options being sunroof & 3rd row seating, which was exactly what I was looking for. I had spent a few months looking and pounced on this one.

I put a lot of miles on my vehicles, expecting a properly maintained vehicle to last a long time and had lusted after a 4runner for years. I traded in a GMC Envoy which although comfortable, was a maintenance nightmare. Before that, I had a Nissan Pathfinder I loved, that I unfortunately totaled at 170k . I hope for similar or more longevity from the 4runner.

My experience with the the 4runner has so far been superb. The mileage has been decent and the V6 tows much better than I had hoped. The only down check is the 4wd low. Before I hit the 12k certified warranty limit, I ran through every possible option and 4wd low would not engage. The fix (actuator and computer) was covered under the Toyota certified warranty so I am satisfied.

05 T4R, V8, Limited (=fully loaded, except for: no navigation and no extended JBL sound system)

70k miles, new tires, new billstein shocks + a large box spares & maint. parts

Needed 4 new brake discs + pads (mainly becasue the dump Toyota mechanic did not check it properly and I ended up with fully used up brake pads which started damaging my brake discs - grrrr!)

Otherwise very good condition!

And the best: it was only 9.900 USD!

Have done 20k miles in the last 4 months and the T4R is just a GREAT machine! Not the best fuel economy, however, but nothing beats the fun of driving this V8!

2003 LTD 4x4 w/ JBL, tow kit, tow hitch bike rack, 54k, super clean, clean CarFax, one-owner, all service records, dealership servicing, brand new Bridgestone Dueler H/T Alenzas, for $13,900 private party in December. It was local in MO.

I'm moving north at the end of the summer, so heated leather seats were a "must." I wish I could have paid less with the old tires, so I could justify buying bigger tires and small lift right away. Now my cheap ass is going to have to wait 60k miles.

In November of '13 I got my 08 limited fully loaded with no navi, 84,000 miles, a year of tread on the tires. One owner no accidents, new brakes all fluids changed out except transmission and differential cause "lifetime" In Houston for $17,899 plus tt&l. Id been looking for about 4 months and it was the nicest one with the lowest amount of miles that wasn't ridiculously priced. Overall Im happy. I wanted the shadow mica but the silver isn't the worst color just the most used.

This was my friend's dealership where he works so I know the work has been done

Only bad part on my end was I was so excited that I messaged them and my friend at the same time for a deal. Friend got me $2000 discount but since I eff'd up in contacting the sales department as well they only discounted $1000 off
So I made it ackward.

During financing, I added theft protection where Toyota will provide up to $6000 in down payment on a new vehicle if my 4runner gets stolen and extended my CPO warranty for another 4yr/48k miles.

$3000 downpayment

OTD was $30k

In Seattle, car prices are very expensive.
