I payed $1500 for my 1998 Limited 4 runner that was clean. No accidents, One dent the size of a dime, everything works. 231k with a new engine. Worst problem was it needed to be vacuumed and the back seat leather is a little scratched.

$6K for my 99 4runner SR5 4wd with 138K miles 2 months ago. It has the hood scoop and leather. One owner, an elderly gentleman in his 70's. It has been well maintained thru-out and I even spoke to his mechanic prior to purchasing. This was supposed to be the weekend/road trip/camping vehicle but I've been driving it daily and the audi has been demoted to garage queen. LOL!

That's an insane deal! I was happy to get a '97 Limited auto 4x4 with 142K miles and several scratches and dings for $4400.

paid 9k for my 2000 SR5 highlander 5 speed with 114,000 miles. Thought it was a good deal until i saw all your guys's ridiculously cheap prices. You all suck =(

Paid 10$ from off my dad after a ferry ride and a few drinks... I was pretty lucky haha, he bought a tundra and the runner was just sittin.
Its a 97 limited had 230 000 ish km, now has 306 000 km. I hit 300 000 on my way across Canada (somewhere in Northern Ontario) lifted with mud tires... Runners will never die haha.

A month ago I payed $2500 for my 97 Limited 333k mi but in amazing mechanical condition Eng/trans. Things I've replaced so far: drivers cv, alternator, fuel pump/filter, wheel cylinder, plugs/wires now lifted and new tires. Drivers seat torn up, bumper dented and a couple minor body dents/scratches. I'm lovin it though and I pretty much stole it for that $.

I paid $13.5k for my '99 with 96k on the odo back in '04 and it was very well cared for and came with new tires and a Load Warrior rack on top.
My mom paid $28,000 (that seems high now) for her '99 with 26k on it back in '00.
I notice alot of people post they bought their Runners from "an elderly gentlemen" or "an older couple".
Is this a good thing? Have you seen how some older people drive?
Maybe I should get the driving record of any potential seller when I seek out cars since that would actually tell quite a bit.

I got mine for $8000 Canadian. A 2001 SR5 with leather and moonroof. It had about 118,000 miles and had been rust coated every year but one by the previous owners. For a Nova Scotia vehicle that isn't a babied sports car it has an excellent, nearly stellar, lack of rust underneath. Just wish the spare wasn't underneath and then the rear end would be better rust wise.
