How much did you pay for your 3rd gen?

I love this truck and would do the following to it:
-sport hood with silver insert and black grille screen
-replace front bumper with sport style color-matched silver bumper
-projector retrofit with color-matched silver shrouds and reflectors and 99 clear lenses
-satoshi grille with silver bezel and black grille screen
-seqoia rims, color matched to silver or stock and 255/85s
-lose the running boards
-eLocker rear end

Dammit Mike, I'm trying to reduce my negative cash flow, not increase it . If I hear one more "well the '99+ had [fill in the blank] feature", I'm going to scream! As we speak, I have a pair of '02 Limited visors heading my way, and am pondering painting or selling the '02 heated mirrors I picked up at the junkyard last weekend. If I put enough '02 parts into my '97, will that pull it up to a '99 or '00?

But thanks for the thumbs up, I sorta like this little truck too, so not ready to sell yet (although everything has a price, right?). At this point I'm just about done with maintenance (except trans fluid and U-joint grease, which are on tap for tomorrow), and most of the near term "must haves" mods (cup holder console, homelink, cell phone mount, etc).

So I'm just beginning to ponder the next stage, which are the things you mentioned (already got the rear locker as a factory option, yay!).

I'm thinking slightly different motif at this point:

- Body color (white) Limited trim
- Gloss or semi-gloss black on the wheels
- Plasti-dip emblems
- Satin black on trim around the running boards (not ready to lose them yet)

Totally undecided on bumpers and headlights yet, but keeping an eye on what others here do. So many good (and expensive) ideas .

I think I bookmarked the pic of a white and silver runner that I described modding yours to be like, it's so clean looking. I'll link it when I find it.

My neighbor has a 2WD 97 Limited, super clean one-owner truck. It looks new and she doesn't want to touch it at all, she just keeps it purring along. The short bumper (not fat lip) makes it look more stout.

Just bought a 2001 SR5 4wd for $4000. Has 168k on the odometer. Is in pretty decent dhape. Has some dings and dents but most of them can be fixed fairly easily.

Oct 2017, $8200 2000 Limited 74k miles Millennium Silver 4x4 LOVE this vehicle, best one Ive ever owned. Took the running boards off and added some 2017 Sr5 wheels I bought off some kid for $325, and wrapped them in KO2s. Love this truck.
