How much did you pay for your 3rd gen?

Rust or not, that looks a lot better than I thought for $200. If the frame is still there, other parts can be replaced when they fall off.
 
There's a hole in the frame, but that can be patched with a little welding. There is also a rear axle bracket that is rusting out good. The body, engine, and interior is in great shape though.
 
I paid $5000 for 99 SR5, 4x4, automatic, tow package, interior is immaculate as is the exterior for being 10 years old. Put $900 into timing belt/ water pump, interstate battery and sway bar links the day I bought it. 175,000 on the odometer. Love it.
 
Just bought my 1998 Toyota 4Runner Limited at the end of September for $10,500.00. Mileage when I picked it up was 43,000 miles. It now has 45,000 on it. Fantastic condition inside and out with all the options! Very happy with this vehicle and so is my wife!
 
Just bought a 2000 Limited as I needed a winter vehicle...111K miles, $8K, everything works and is in pretty good shape for 10 yrs old and Ohio winters (knocks on wood)...
 
I paid $5700 for my 1996 Limited a month ago. 175K miles, ProComp Lift, new 285/75 BFG's, sound system, new front leather, good maintenance. Timing belt/water pump was done at 125K, so I've still got 50K before I have to do that again.

I sold the sound system for $200 though, so in my mind I paid $5500.

Just bought my 2000 SR5 power roof, cloth and extremely clean...123k for $7900 I owned a dealership for 13 years and just sold it 2 years ago...this is a fresh wholesale price sold at a manhiem pa auction by a toyota dealer and to my dealer friend...Now I'm going to sell my 96 SR5 that is in great condition...220k ...everything works, air blows cold and runs and shifts like new....body has a few hickups but nothing inspection threatening at all....frame is top notch...

Any thoughts on price? 3000 - 3500?
 
On my 4th 3rd Gen. T4R and never paid any more than 10k for any of them. Currently I have a 99 T4R Limited 4x4 Millenium Silver in EC that I bought about a year ago for $4200!! It had @153K miles-has 170K now and runs perfect as all mine have. Getting ready to add a 3" lift and some Nitto Terra Grapplers.

if you got 7900 at cost you got ripped off, that description sounds like mine cept mines a little older.

Black 96 Limited 4x4. I purchased it in february this year for $4500 with 63000 miles. Yes, she was sitting in a storage shed for 5 years now she is full of life and many addition 2 come. She runs as good as my 06 Maxima.

yow i love ur runner. I think 96-98best years. Is urs a black limited as well? i gonna get lift new tires and painted wheels soon. great buy.
 
I bought my 98 SR5 completely stock with 99 000 km's on it back in April of 2004 for $21,300.00! It had some minor rust issues around the windshield and in the inner door jams, but that was all taken care of! Since then, I've added a few bells and whistles, but it now has 170 000km's on it, and still runs great!

2002 4Runner Sport Edition 4x4, rear diff lock, sunroof, hoodscoop.
Purchased for $21K in July '03 with 34k gentle miles (70 yo lady drove it only to visit grandkids... KBB was $28,750 at the time.:banana:

Did I mention it will flip 196K on my commute to work tomorrow? Still the daily driver baby.....

nice, but rear diff lock was discontinued in 00.
 
I just bought my 1999 4x4 Limited with 85,000 miles for $10,900 (US). It's in perfect condition, except for strange corrosion of almost every fastener inside of the car. The frame and body are perfect, but every screw in a door jamb or under the hatch looks as if it has been immersed in salt water for years.

Is it easy to track down part numbers for screws and bolts like these?
