How much did you pay for your 3rd gen?

I bought my 98 limited about 3 months ago with 200,000 on it for 3000$..It now has 216,000 and you cant even tell...It is in perfect condition..I'm gonna put in a new timing chain and other preventive maintanace this weekend so hopefully i should get another 200,000 from it..I just sold an fj60 with 380,000 on it for $4,500..Toyotas just keep on rolling....:zoom:

that sounds really steep, i got a 97 V6 5 Speed SR5 4WD 147k miles a clean interior and no fading for a lot less.

This seems rather high.
3 years ago I bought a 1997 Limited 4Runner with 145k for $5,500. Either I got a really good deal or you over paid by about two grand.

Hi guys new to the board and the Toyota family. I just picked up a 2000 Limited loaded with 131k on here really clean for $7,500 with a 6 month or 7K mile warranty. Only thing is it appears the timing belt and water pump was never done. Since it's a Non-interference motor I'm debating on weather waiting a bit or biting the bullet and have it done ASAP.

I gave $5500 for my 99 Limited about a month ago with 156K on it. 2 small dents in hood but other than that its perfect. Its looks quite similar to roark4runner's but I have the wind deflector for the sun roof also. Not sure what my wife gave 4 hers a few years back. She had it when we got together and its paid off as is mine. She has 157K on her 98 limited. Few parking lot bruises and the clear coat is peeling off the roof, hood, and top of front fenders. We love our trucks!

This is my first post here! I just picked up my first 4runner on Friday of last week. It's a 99' SR5 4X4 with 111,000 K. I feel great about the deal I got on it. Paid $6900 out the door. It's in great condidtion as well!
Learning more and more about these vihicles. I have loved the looks of them for a long time. I sold my Yukon last year and have been driving a Volvo for a year and a half. After I got sick of driving the sedan, I started looking. I ran across this vehicle and couldn't resist. I just hope it turns out to be a good one!!

1996 SR5 4WD with 134K on it last September for $2,800. The guy I bought it from was kinda anti-mechanical. He thought that the electrical system was having trouble...turned out to be a fuse and needed the AC recharged. After routine stuff like tires, brakes, oils, etc...about $3500. It has a small dent on the back bumper....which is great...I needed a winter project! I've put 5K on it in 3 months and it runs stronger now then when I bought it. 22.5 mpg is my best mileage. I love this thing!!!

Bought my 2002 4Runner SR5 4X4 for $12,500 with 82,500 miles on it last February (2/08). Now I have 110,000 on it and I've only done oil changes and some fluid flushes over these 21+ months. I did add a grille guard and upgraded audio, but those were obviously optional. 
Although if you've noticed a thread I've started, I do need to put in a new timing belt and water pump. Wah wah. Maybe I can keep pushing it?

I had a 99 Tacoma that Toyota bought back for frame rot and gave me Kelly Blue Book top value plus half. With this money I found a guy in Grovecity,Ohio that had a 2002 Toyota 4 Runner Sport that I purchsed for $8,700.00. This truck is cherry. The window sticker was in the truck with the price new of $36,300.00. What a steal with only 92,000 miles on it.

I bought my 98 Limited 4WD from the original owner this past May for $5800. It had 165k miles on it then, 186k now. He had just put 4 new Goodyear Wrangler RT/S on it so it would match the spare tire. I figure that's gotta be somewhere in the $600-$700 range. Everything works, down to the power antenna and it runs like a champ. Now it stops like a champ too with the Tundra brakes on it!:wink2:

I paid 32k for my 1997 SR5 loaded, brand new. I've got about 159k miles on it, 4th set of tires. I've only put about 5k a year on it the last 4 years as I've been working from home. It's the dark green with tan leather. This has been a great truck. I've routinely flushed the tranny fluid as well as all fluids, I've run mobil 1 synthetic oil since the first oil change as I'm a true believer in this oil.....I'm just now ordering new bilstein shocks for it, as I know its over due. Other than having the rotors turned, the timing belt changed and the antenna fixed, all at 90k miles (oh yeah, there was a recall for the rear springs), I haven't had any issues with it....I've got an eclipse system with a kicker sub in the back, along with a manik grill and tail light covers as well as 2 KC lights on the front. Who knows what its worth now if I were to sell it....as I plan on keeping it for as long as I can....
I was able to find a local tire shop here in Tulsa that has the adapter to balance my stock wheels....that's made a huge difference in how the truck drives on down the highway....

I gave $6600 for my 99 4runner, SR5, 4x4. has 95,000 miles. 2 years left on the knobby tires. i was happy with that price.
