How much torque can our transmissions handle?

As the title says I'm wondering what the safe working torque is with our engines, I've got a transmission shift kit in it and just would like to know much I can throw at it. Thanks in advanced.

I see, so I could theoretically attach a 2uzfe to it?

With ease, I have seen a 6bt 12 valve cummins diesel attached to a stock trans however I have not heard how long it survived but I know it was at least 6 months and those have way more tq than a 2uz could ever make.

All in all the trans is rather strong considering the size.

Every transmission has a torque capacity. Transmissions can be damaged due to careless use, even when they are operating well under their torque rating.

Don't be heavy-footed with the throttle, and any transmission will last longer.

IIRC, the 2UZ-FE is mated to the A343F transmission in some LC100s. The A343F has a slightly different set of clutch plates than those of the A340F. So you might look into replacing your clutch plates and modify the valve body to accommodate the 2UZ-FE with better durability/reliability than with using the stock A340F

That's the plan, I'm using a 2004 tundra and if I'm not mistaken they had the 430F, my plan is to for now, use my upgraded VB, and the tq converter and bell housing.
