How much water...

I searched the forums and maybe Im missing something but just out of curiosity, how much water can a stock 4runner tread through without a snorkel?

I believe Toyota rates it up to the center caps, but I've seen them go much deeper, past the rear bumper without problems as long as you keep moving. I'm not a big fan of water crossings or mud pits though.

Or it could up with hydro lock like done folks here who claim they only drove thru a puddle.

Personally I have been up to the bumper and headlights with no wave over the hood and no issues.
