How often do you wash and wax your 4runner

Hello all,

I just want to know how often members wash and wax their 4runner. Ever since I bought mine, I have not wax it yet. However, I wash it once a week during winter months and once a month during summer time.

I have a membership to a car wash that washes & details my 4R biweekly for a year. I can take mine in every day if I wanted to....but it wouldn't make that huge of a difference. I love having unlimited car washes & detailing

Only washed after trail rides and during crappy salt filled Ohio winters. Never been waxed. But I bought it for just $4500 with cosmetic issues so it didn't make sense to.

ThAt is a bit excessive if you ask me. If you wash it that often you will be stripping away the wax.

Don't EVER wash it using dishsoap, as that will strip off wax very quickly. I wash mine at least 1-2x a month and wax it 3-4x a year, especially since I have some small oxidation spots that need attention and the florida sun doesn't help!

I go to the Do -it-yourself wash, put in 2 bucks and just spray everything down with spot free. Since my 4r is White, it looks super clean everytime

I wash my truck once every 2-3 weeks late Feb.- early Nov. and wax it twice a year, in March and September. I pull everything out of it and clean the interior 3-4 times a year.

Undercarriage gets a good powerwash once a month

Always use Turtle wax ICE on the paint

I try to wash it once a week during the warmer months March-October, but probably average twice a month.

Wax is at least once a year, but two times is my goal.

Seal it every 4 months.

Polish once a year.

I run through auto car wash frequently all winter whenever temps allow with a very slow crawl over the under carriage wash to get the salt off; during the no salt months... about ... never; a rinse with the garden hose from time to time.

I wax it about twice a year. Then I follow a strict regimen of mud application and rinse at least once a week.

You must live in the south!!!

Kinda hard to wash you car in your driveway here in NH when it's 10 degrees outside.

Touch-less car washes are fine. The cloth ones can be fine..but you run the risk of them being dirty and may scratch the paint.

I try to wash my 4runner once a week. Tough to do in the middle of winter here in NH (although this extremely winter it wasn't). Sometime in the spring I'll wash then clay-bar and then polish and wax. Then during the summer I'll just wax maybe twice. Then another good wash clay-bar, polish and wax in early fall.

As for dish-washer soap...Ivory is the only soap I know of that doesn't strip the wax off. All others do a great job of stripping the wax off. I will use it in the spring before I do the clay-bar and polish and wax. It does a real good job cleaning. But I only use it when I WANT to strip the wax off.

I wash my truck at least once every two weeks. Wax once or twice per year. My 2003 still looks awesome in the finish department.

I wash my car about every ten days. if it's warm enough I apply a quick spray wipe on wipe off spray wax. Other than that I apply a paint sealer twice a year.

Wash once a week.

Wax 6 times a year. Keeping my oxidation from getting worse.

Once it's done being painted:
Wash once a week and wax 3 times a year.

And these are high quality detailed wax jobs that take all day, including removing fender flares, roof rack etc..
