No, not at all. The muffler shop shouldn't charge much to install it.

Not Midas. I went to them and they wanted like $200 for the muffler and install. It was crazy.

I just found a local shop (looked in the phonebook) and called around and went to the cheapest one.

The 3rd and 4th gen can use the 2.5 inch in and out center offset, i went with 3inch so it can be louder for me, but the 2.5 will be fine. Muffler shops here charges 70 for install, but my camed out to 170 since he charged me for the custom 3 inch pipe, starts from stock flange on the y pipe, then one 3 inch pipe to the center of the muffler, the out on the offset where a pipe is bend to go up and over the rear axel and back down to the side, i have it out on the corner of the bumper, as u can see on the vid i posted, it makes my truck look better. All my stock muffler and pipes were not used, except the flange where he cut off to weld the new pipe onto.

The installer at the muffler shop said dont put a tip on my truck snce it wont good, i agreed and this pipe out on the corner makes it more muscle. Plus i save another 50 or more since tips are that much.

I have the same magnaflow too and love it, you can usually get a used one on ebay or cragislist. I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Magnaflow 43054. Also some of the forum sponsors usually have a sale going on. Either way its a great exhaust system, sounds great, and very easy to install.

i paid 40 bucks and had my muffler and resonator cut off. then a pipe was added and i have a true straigt pipe with a dump in front of the rear axle. that and my k&n intake and i have money that ive got the loudwst and deepest v8 4runner around. its truly amazimg to hear that much noise coming from a 4runner
