How to access jack under rear seats?

The manual shows that the jack is supposed to be located under the rear seats, but gives no indication on how to lift them up. I have tried to find any kind of mechanism/lock that needs to be lifted/pulled in order to release the seat, but no luck. Can someone please tell me how this is to be done? I searched these forums ("jack" + "rear" + "seats", etc), but came up empty handed.

Nevermind, I found it myself..

I looked at the manual again, and on page 19 (1990 4Runner SR5), it explained that there is a cloth strip attached to the bottom of each rear seat (had to search between the cushions / seatbelts) which when pulled both unlocks the bottom seat from the floor and pulls the seat upright. The jack was right under there located under a metal panel w/ velcro. Sorry for not researching enough on my own first.

And another little tidbit you may need someday -- Under the carpet,beneath the rear seat on the passenger side,, you'll likely find an access panel. Remove that panel and you gain access to the fuel pump and associated fuel / vent lines WITHOUT having to drain the tank and drop it. Now I'm not 'positive' about that feature on your 90 model, but my 92 model has it.

I found out about it AFTER I paid to have the fuel pump replaced. Errm,, that was a $400 lesson, for me.

Haha that took me a minute to figure it out, too. I've never owned a vehicle so utterly devoid of storage spots (other that the 2 coolant spaces in the back :wave
I love it, but the wife will eventually make me get a Gen 3 due to airbag for kids.
