Are the King springs rated at 650 lbs/in marked as such?
I'm emphasizing that's what I want, and it clearly requires some effort, which is fine. I want to make sure that's what I get though...

I had heard good things about Low Range Offroad, and I'm finally a customer. Jason or "Goose" there has been fantastic thus far. 650s, no extra charge. The springs are indeed marked with the rates. Takes more time to build them, which is no problem for me as this is more mid to late summer I imagine.
To my door is $869, so quite pleasantly surprised.

Regarding the Kings,
The item shipped to you should have a white text marking marking on each blue coil that says 600 (if 600) or 650. Nearly all resellers online list and ship the 600 coil. So unless the link you are buying from explicitly says 650 then you are getting the 600 coils. You may have to call the reseller and special order the 650 coils.

He might have taken it down but you can still order the parts yourself from whatever vendor or dealer you like.
The main reason I created this thread is so that people will know what the actual correct Toyota part numbers are that Steve originally used when putting together his Sonoran Steel kit and I linked the website of course.
You can build your own or buy from him or buy from wherever. I originally bought directly from SS and always thought they did a great job for customers.
There are a lot of SO CALLED SS 1.2 threads here listing part numbers that are not acurate. It really does matter which Landcruisers coils are selected and it really does matter which exact Toyota part numbers are used otherwise it is not the same kit but rather a create your lift vs tried and tested SS 1.2.
Of course plenty of other options do work for people but this thread was created to list the original Toyota parts. I hope it is helpful. I have Kings now and love them but my SS 1.2 was nice when I had it.
Good point, but I was actually using the build it yourself kit for all the other little pieces included like the bushings he makes for the rear tokico shocks, bump stops and bump stop extenders, adjustable rear track bar, rear sway bar relocate brackets, etc. I wonder why he took it down.

I believe you can get all of those small parts at Toytech and the bump stops from plasticsGuy or other vendors. I'm not sure why they aren't listed on the site anymore either.

Does anyone know if SS will still sell the DIY kit for $500? As mentioned earlier it is no longer on the website. I will call Monday (2-17-20) to find out, but if anyone has info over the weekend please reply here.

I think Steve will still sell you the adapters. The Toyota parts you can always just order as OEM.

I spoke to Steve... he doesn’t sell the DIY kit any more, but he said that customers can still order any or all of the parts from the original kit individually from the website.
Thanks for this. My 4runner came with the 3" rough country lift and i'd like to get that off and switch to something better. I think I might go with the LC shocks and LC or 861 springs and then Kings in the front. Right now my 4 runner is pretty stock but I plan on getting a roof top tent and bumpers. So I think this rear spring and shock combo should be good with that stuff along with other gear.

What does Steve recommend for trucks that are armored and weighted?
Be advised that Sonoran Steel no longer sells the piece it together/build it yourself kit on their website. Not sure if you call if they will sell it or not. TRD Tundra Springs and tundra bilstein 5100's for the front and FJ80 Landcruiser front springs in the rear with FJ80 rear shocks.
From my understanding the Tokico Landcruiser shocks work really well with the FJ80 springs. The valving and collapsed/extended lengths match the landcruiser spring rate and free coil length pretty good. They're also cheaper FWIW

I'm not sure about upgrade but 5100 rears are optional because he recommends in his install instructions that to get the most benefit from tokicos you have to widen the upper shock mount hole due the larger retaining cup. If the tokicos are installed without widening, it can wallow it out. The 5100 (bil 33-187174) are optional for those that don't want to drill out the mounting hole.
