Been through two sets of 85W yellows. I think I will go back to the standard 55W bulbs and see if they last as long as the originals.

Can you replace just the glass? Both mine are broke too. Must be a Minnesota thing...
Has anyone come up with a cheaper replacement for these stupid fog lights? The factory units are SUPER expensive. There has to be a cheaper alternative that fits in the same spot....?
But for now, what's up with replacing the glass on these units?
I don't even have the units. The stock SR5 didn't come with foglights, or at least mine didn't. I have the holes in the lower bumper to put some in but don't want to spend an arm and a leg for factory ones. Anyone have any suggestions on whole foglight units I can buy and put in the factory holes?? Not sure about wiring yet either, as I haven't looked that close yet. I have other mods and maintenance that need to be more of a priority but still would like to get suggestions.

You can buy the Hella Micro DE with the 4runner brackets and all the wiring/relay and switch as a kit.
I replaced the stock units and brackets. No problems after several years. Much cheaper than OEM.
Here is what I used and the source:

So, I bought the 100w Hella lights as mentioned. I have an 02 Sport. Put them in, I go to flip the foglight switch and it blew the 15 A fuse. Anyone know what thats about?
EDIT: Fixed it, I was pinching the wire when I screwed down the cover. Make sure when you reinstall new lights that you put the wires in there exactly as they came out!

Has anyone come up with a cheaper replacement fog light? The glass lens on both of mine are broke and I really like using them. But, I'm not willing to spend $150+ to replace them.
Also, anyone have any ideas how to fab a grill or something over the lens to protect them from future damage?

So does anyone know if you can run the 100w fog light without any problems? I know stock is only 55w so I'm just wondering if I can throw in the 100 watt bulb without anything bad happening

so my bolts holding the fog lights in place were so rusted that snapped off immediately when i put a socket wrench on them. I found TOY part# 81133-22710 as replacements but i should be able to grab some at any auto parts store.
Does anyone have specs on the thread pattern for these 2 bolts?
also the 3 tiny screws you removed to replace the lights, does anybody have specs on those? they are rusted too.

I am not sure about your area, but here, in Tucson, AZ, Precision Toyota only charges like $0.80 for smaller screws, and like $1.25 for those bolts!
Also, for the heads snapping off, I did a write up on how to get the bolt shafts out, if you need!
