How to Check/Access A/C Evap Hose?

Hello all.

Recently on my way back from the west coast to Ohio I started getting a deluge of water coming out from behind the center console onto my feet when I banked hard right (ie. an off-ramp). I assume that my A/C evap. hose is plugged somehow but cant seem to figure out how to access it to check it. I can see the drain spout from underneath but is there an easy way to access it from inside and/or from under the hood?

I've never had to do it, but I believe you can buy a can of cleaner that you spray back up into the drain hose. The cleaner goes in, expands into a foam and breaks up crud/crap and then the foam eventually settles back into a liquid and drains out the same hole — all the while removing any debris that was plugging the drain.

I don't know how easy or effective this is, but I do recall seeing the product at auto parts stores before.

Sorry for such a delayed response. I haven't been on in a long time since when I'm not traveling cross country I drive my 1997 Ford Escort Wagon...aka The Purple Passion Wagon!

I never did resolve the issue. I figured I'd try to poke a hanger up into the evap drain line and see if there was some gunk up there. I'll probably forget until it starts spilling all over me again when I'm heading cross country somewhere next summer.

Did you, perchance, ever figure it out?
