How to determine swapped transmission in 1993 4x4

Hey whatsup guys the previous owner said he swapped in a tacoma trans., the problem is that I cannot determine the model as there is no id plate. Also the trans does not want to shift past 2nd gear, how can I figure out the model, so far all I have found is 3V marked on the bottom of the case. Thanks!!

It's a R150F.
There's 3 versions 88-91, 92-95.5, and 95.5-05 (Tacoma).
