I'm sure you guys do. My comment was not meant as a dig at the mods. I really appreciate everything you guys do. It's just frustrating to see so many marketplace threads w/o the information we discussed should be included. I guess it doesn't really matter, just annoying

I've retracted my suggestion due to information shared with me by SV_Dude. I won't go into it but apparently I didn't have the whole story and I agree now that it was a legitimate delete AND I'll leave it at that.
I'm back to being neutral on this moderation thing but in this particular case I was wrong to loudly complain without first emailing SV_Dude and asking a polite WTF.

The removal of a thread won't be so disconcerting if the reason was known and legitimate.
If no reason is given then what's the purpose of posting or replying in the first place?
I think the one that started the thread and those who replied in it deserve an explanation...and it is our business since we are members on this forum...especially those that reply in that particular thread.

This is consistently the biggest complaint by members.
If people decide not to follow the For Sale section posting rules, posts can be deleted without warning, as will threads whining about their posts being deleted.
The rules aren't being enforced to the letter at this point, people are being cut some slack, for now.
And on the subject of selling, this isn't Amazon.com.

It gets very frustrating when each page takes 30 seconds to a minute to load, if it even loads. Moderator functions can be tedious and very time consuming with such delay

more recently Ive had server problems also.
I know I'm not a heavy hitter when it comes to posts but input is input right? I agree with a solution to the server being busy and I wouldn't mind paying 10 or 15 bucks a year for a 'contributor' type title if it helped make this place better. Even if its not required or anything.
Just a couple thoughts, I really like how tacomaworld has the ability to have a little pin under your avatar saying if you were in a certain armed forces. Also, the firearms thread is pretty bunched up with multiple conversations in one thread. While I'm asking a member about ARs, another is talking about other parts and things. I feel like I'm causing clutter asking stupid questions so what about an outdoor sub forum? Including things like firearms, hiking, mtn biking, hunting, backpacking, over landing. Yotatech has one and it was pretty dead but T4R seems to have more active users (frequent posters) who are into these type of things including me.

I posted this in a 4th Gen thread on how to clean up the forums and thought it would be more fitting to post it here.
In regards to the search feature, it is quite terrible as we would all agree. Even more terrible if using Tapatalk which a large number of members use.
I am not sure what is involved in updating the forum to enable Tapatalk Features (I think it's just a matter of updating to the latest Tapatalk api) but other forums that I visit allow for filtering of searches through Tapatalk. I think this could allow users who primarily use Tapatalk to find things easier and be less likely to post duplicate threads. As of right now, if I search through Tapatalk, it searches the entire t4r.org site and does not allow me to view only 4th Gen forum results.
Another thing that I have noticed in other forums that have a more updated api is the ability for users to 'like' posts directly from the Tapatalk app... Would love that feature in this forum as well
