Whine is normally related to the PS pump screen being dirty, air in the system or level of Trans fluid in the PS system.

Well, it may not be the power steering, but I noticed it right after installing the new guide. I may take it apart and grease up the point of contact on the guide to I see if that fixes it.

I did this fixed today and now I noticed a whine from my power steering when turning the wheel.

Anybody else have this issue after the guide replacement?

Now that the rack guide is tighter, yes. You may need to regrease and reset it, especially if your rack was quite worn from the roller.
