I wasn't a big fan of the shape or design of the stock rear-view mirror, so I replaced it with a Gentex Series 8 Frameless auto-dimming mirror. It offers just a little more side-to-side viewing range, but top to bottom is about the same.
It's pretty straightforward, but does require buying a connector if you want to be able to swap back to the stock one in the future. Otherwise, you can ignore buying the connector and solder the correct wires directly together. In that case, the black and white wire from the headliner area is ground and blue is power--connect black/white from car to black of new mirror and blue of car to cream/pink of new mirror.
If you reverse these or short them you'll blow the 10A "ECU-IG NO.2" fuse in the driver's wheel well area and your window's will no longer roll down. There's an extra under the hood. Don't ask me how I know this.
