Hey guys,
After a google search, this is the only thread that has details on how to reset the needles for toyota vehicles.
I have a 2005 Sequoia that I had to take the cluster apart to repaint the inner trim. I must have inadvertently hit the tachometer needle since it is pointing at about -1000rpm (below zero).
So today I tried to open the cluster with it plugged in, key on, and turned it until I felt resistance at 0. I powered on and off 3 or 4 times, started the car, and everything seemed good.
I just went back out and noticed it is back at -1000rpms. :frusty:
One post used the speedo as an example and said to turn it up to 50mph. Then turn it counter clockwise back to zero. Should you still do this if your initial readings are too low?
Should I push past the resistance the amount it is off by? (1,000rpms)
Thanks for any help! :bigok:
