How to reset Maint light on 04 SR5

Can someone remind me... the maint light is only to do with oil change intervals, right? Nothing to do with any potential engine issues?
I ask because I recently got a 50K service about 3K miles after my last oil change and despite the dealer noting that they reset the system the maint light came on about 2K miles later. Everything's functioning normally and the oil level is good so I just wanted to make sure I can simply reset it.

Just want to point out they changed the layout of the tripmeter/odometer selection/reset buttons/button sometime after 04. Not sure what year.
My 04 has 2 different buttons on the far left gauge cluster on edge of the tach display. One button selects between trip A & B & the odometer, the other is a reset button only (it resets trip A & B when they are selected) Push & Hold for a second for reset.
My 08 has a single small black button in the same gauge circle as the fuel & coolant temp display. A momentary push switches between trip A & B & Odometer, push and hold for a second or 2 will reset which ever trip meter is selected.
On the 04 turn the key to ACC with the odometer selected. Push and hold the Reset button and turn the key to on (do not start). Watch the maint light it should flash a few times and go out. When it stops flashing release the reset button. Start the vehicle and make sure the maint light has gone out.
On the newer layout with the odometer selected and the key in ACC, push and hold the selection button, turn the key to ON (do not start). Before the maint light goes out it illuminates for 3 seconds, flashes for 2 seconds and illuminates for 1 second and goes out, then release the button. The light will remain flashing if the system does not reset. Start and make sure the llight has gone out. Pg 155 of the 08 manual states this info.
I believe it is in the same section of the owners manual in the prior years, just maybe not the same page. Section 1-6 Operation of the instruments and controls.
The system counts 5000 miles before it comes on steady again. It starts flash at startup a couple hundred miles before to let you know the change is due soon.
